An eventful Saturday
An Eventful Saturday
This was quite an eventful Saturday, if I say so myself. And I do. The day started with bowling in the morning. For once, I bowled strikingly well. My average being 128, I didn't expect to do much. Well I was wrong. I got a 156, 175, and 176. Woo!
Then I was supposed to go golfing with my neighbor Chris, but I couldn't get a hold of him, so instead I went to the Monona Golf Course driving range and just spent a while hitting a large bucket o' balls. I sucked. It wasn't as much fun as you might think.
But those are not what this story is about. No, this story is about a monthly rhythmic ceremony that TBS attended with Joelle. "Solid Rock," the oddly named christian dance. (I hesitate to call it a dance because hardcore christians like these aren't allowed to dance. therefore, i will refer to is as MRC, for monthy rhythmic ceremony) anyways... The MRC started at 6:00. Bert, Shvotz, and Joelle played Go Fish while Tear-E slept whilst sitting on the floor. Later, quite bored, Bert travelled to another table and read a magazine about christian "music." Hey, speaking of their "music," there was a band that was supposed to play from 6 - 9. They didn't start til close to 7:20. They weren't very good either. Anywayz, Bert was reading this magazine, which made him quite angry, and Tear-E was sleeping on the benches that went around the table. Shvotz was talking to Joelle. Suddenly, Joelle & Shvotz went over to Bert and Tear-E. They hung out there for a while. Bert was on a roll all night with the christian jokes. Joelle got mad somethin fierce, probably because she knew he was right. At 8:00, Bert and Tear-E couldn't take it anymore, and they left, promising to return for Shvotz at 9:00.
Well, they returned at 9:00 and picked up not only Shvotz but also Joelle. They went out to McDonald's to celebrate and eat. (ok, not really to celebrate, just to eat) While there, they made a couple phone calls to Bert's cousin, Stephanie. Shvotz pretended to be Kirk McKirken. It was awfully funny. Anyway, after that, we dropped off Shvotz and then dropped off Joelle. Then I went to Tear-E's, where we watched "Night Of The Living Dead" and a horrible movie called "Ice Cream Man." Well, it was quite fun. Adios ahora, mis amigos!
