Eagles vs. Panthers

Panthers vs. Eagles

This was a game we expected to win. We were tied for first (5-0 in conference), and they were in last (1-4 in conference). Perhaps that's why we lost. Because we didn't take it seriously.
The game started great. We played quite well for the first half, going into halftime with a 14-3 lead. But somehow, they beat us senseless for the entire fourth quarter. The game ended with a sad 25-20 loss. BUT, we kept first place. You see, Monroe was the other team with a 5-0 conference record, and they also lost. This means that we're still tied for first place. Plus, 7-1 is not a bad overall record. (it's still the best record in the conference. While Monroe is 5-1 in conference, they are 6-2 overall)
As for marching, we sucked again. It was the same show as last week except 1) the drums only moved twice, 2) We only played "And I Love Her" and "Eleanor Rigby," and 3) Everyone was angry at Mr. T.
Next week is the most important game of the year. Our opponent: The team that's tied with us for first place, Monroe. It's also in Monroe, so the band doesn't have to play. Also, there will be more reports from games, because MG is obviously in the playoffs, which I know nothing about the system. I will play it by ear, but for now, I will be back next week from Monroe. Bye.
